On November 2nd, the "New Remote Sensing Service Cooperation Seminar" of the Institute of Earth and Space Technology, PKU-IICSH was successfully held at PKU-IICSH. Experts and representatives from Wuhan University ,UNITTEC, Dongfang Aerospace Port (Shandong) Development Group Co., Ltd. and Shanghai Gerui De Big Data Technology Co., Ltd. gathered together to discuss the construction of a new remote sensing service system based on satellite communication and space information technology and future cooperation directions. Wang Yu, the executive director of PKU-IICSH, attended the meeting.

The meeting was presided over by Ren Fuhu, the director of the Institute of Earth and Space Technology, PKU-IICSH. Director Ren pointed out that with the accelerated layout of low-orbit satellite constellations and the advancement of the construction of space-ground integrated information infrastructure in China, remote sensing services are transforming from single data provision to comprehensive and intelligent "spatiotemporal information services". This meeting aims to promote in-depth cooperation between research institutions and enterprises in satellite communication, remote sensing applications, space information networks, and the construction of new service systems, and jointly explore the path of integration and innovation of aerospace remote sensing technology with local economies and industry applications.

Gong Jianya, academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and professor at Wuhan University, along with his team, introduced the latest progress of Wuhan University in aerospace remote sensing research and application. The team of Academician Gong pointed out that Wuhan University has a solid research foundation and industrialization achievements in remote sensing mapping, space information processing, and high-resolution satellite applications, and is willing to work with all parties to build a high-precision and intelligent remote sensing data service system to support the application of the new generation of space infrastructure.

Chu Na, the vice president of Dongfang Aerospace Port (Shandong) Development Group, introduced the latest progress of Dongfang Aerospace Port in satellite applications, payload development, and industrial collaboration. Chu Na expressed the hope of forming an innovation linkage with PKU-IICSH in the Shanghai Lingang Special Area and jointly establishing a long-term cooperation mechanism for remote sensing and aerospace applications.

Xu Ming, the vice president of UNITTEC and the president of the Space Information Business Group, and Meng Tao, the chairman of Chenji Digital Intelligence under UNITTEC, led their teams to introduce the product system and industrial planning of UNITTEC in the directions of smart cities, emergency management, and space information integration services. They pointed out that UNITTEC will take digital twins and space intelligence as the core to promote the transformation of remote sensing data into scene value and achieve full-chain services from data to decision-making.

After discussion, the meeting reached multiple cooperation intentions, including jointly building an innovation platform for remote sensing services, jointly applying for major scientific and technological projects, and conducting cooperation in low-orbit communication, space information systems, and the assetization of remote sensing data.

The successful holding of this meeting will further promote the development of aerospace remote sensing and space information industries in the Shanghai Lingang Special Area, strengthen the in-depth linkage between research and enterprises, and provide strong support for the construction of China's new remote sensing service system.
