Advanced Nucleic Acid Delivery R&D Center

Project Description

This project is based on the Technology of Vector for Efficient Nucleic Acid Delivery researched by Tong Shuwen, the founder of D-Nano Therapeutics, during her doctoral studies at Peking University. It balances scientific advancement with translational feasibility. The delivery vector developed in this project solve the bottleneck problem of low cellular utilization in nucleic acid delivery, achieving high-efficiency expression of delivered nucleic acids under low uptake conditions. They outperform current international advanced brand transfection reagents on common cells and are the only solution for non-viral nucleic acid delivery problems in difficult-to-transfect cells such as stem cells, primary cells, and immune cells. This delivery vector technology lays the foundation for further scientific research. Building upon the globally leading nucleic acid delivery technology and focusing on customer needs, this project develops more advanced nucleic acid delivery products and provides customers with integrated upstream and downstream solutions, establishing a strong brand effect and achieving economic efficiency for the project.

Graduating from Peking University, Dr. Tong Shuwen holds a bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, a master's degree in Pharmaceutics, and a Ph.D. in Biology and Medicine. With over ten years of experience in Lipid Nanoparticle delivery(脂质纳米递送)research and industrial development, she has extensive experience in the development of Lipid Nanoparticle Drugs at the hundred-liter scale. In 2021, she established D-Nano Therapeutics, dedicated to "serving human health with better delivery technology."
