From December 8th to 9th, the "2023 Dishui Lake Emerging Finance Annual Conference and 2023 Peking University Global Finance Forum" was jointly organized by Peking University Alumni Association and the Lin-gang Special Area Administration(LSAA). The event was co-hosted by Union of Finance Alumni of Peking University (UFAPKU), Peking University Shanghai Lin-gang International Science and Technology Innovation Center(PKU-IICSH), Peking University Shanghai Alumni Association, Peking University Shanghai Alumni Asset Management Association, and Shanghai Lin-gang Special Area Economic Development Co., Ltd. ,the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP) and Shanghai Yanyuan Private Equity Fund Management Co., Ltd. (Yanyuan Fund) were co-organizers. The forum took place at Lin-gang Center in Lin-gang Special Area.

The theme of this forum was "Technological Innovation, Smart Finance, and Collaborative Development." Hundreds of Peking University finance alumni and guests from academia, government, and the financial industry gathered in Lin-gang. The discussions, based on the layout of emerging financial industries in  Lin-gang Special Area, systematically explored the operating laws of emerging finance, contributing the wisdom and experience of "financial PKUers."

On the afternoon of the 8th, the 2023 Peking University Global Financial Forum(PKUGFF) officially commenced. Yuan Guohua, Deputy Secretary of the Party Working Committee of Lin-gang Special Area, and Party secretary and chairman of Shanghai Lingang Economic Development (Group) Co Ltd; as well as Piao Shilong, Vice President of Peking University and Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, delivered speeches. Sun Xiaohe, head of the Finance and Trade Division, LSAA provided an introduction to emerging finance in Lin-gang Special Area. Wu Shanshan, Founding Partner of Duo Zhu Capital and financial host, presided over the opening ceremony.

On the 9th, the theme forum and the "2023 Peking University Shanghai Alumni Yuanpei Forum" were held. The conference featured four main thematic forums: "New Developments in Asset Management," "Technological Innovation and Finance," "ESG and Green Finance," and "New Trends in Quantitative Investment."
