On the afternoon of April 3rd, 2024, the preliminary project seminar of the Low-Altitude Intelligent Networks Innovation Center at Peking University Shanghai Lin-gang International Science and Technology Innovation Center (PKU-IICSH) (hereinafter referred to as LAINIC) was successfully held. The seminar was hosted by Professor Cheng Chengqi. Wang Yu, Executive Director of PKU-IICSH, and Zhang Weiwei, Deputy Director of PKU-IICSH attended the seminar.

Technical experts and corporate executives from 9 units including the Aerospace Information Research and Development Center at Peking University, PLA Information Engineering University, Smart Steps Data Technology Co., Ltd., CHC Navigation, Sietium Semiconductor Technology (Shandong) Co., Ltd., Changhong IT, Huacheng Data Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd., Liuxin Technology Co., Ltd., Beidou Fuxi Technology gathered in Lin-gang, Shanghai, to discuss the development plan of LAINIC's initial projects. They conducted in-depth discussions on the first batch of 3 low-altitude technology industry projects planned for incubation.

The initial resolution of the meeting is that the early development stage of LAINIC should focus on optimizing the core technology of low-altitude intelligence at the underlying application level. In the research and development of low-altitude intelligence technology products, we should be guided by market demand, continuously iterate and optimize products in scenario applications. We should seize the market opportunity and focus on cultivating the first batch of three key incubation projects, namely "Low-altitude Safety Emergency Response, Low-altitude Intelligence CIM Card Chip, and Low-altitude Intelligence Supercomputer."

Finally, Professor Cheng Chengqi expressed high hopes for the project teams of LAINIC. First, it is necessary to focus on project implementation, accelerate progress, strive to produce product prototypes within 3-5 months, meet the supply demands of signed projects, seize the market opportunities in the low-altitude economic industry, and enhance the iterative optimization capabilities of key core technologies and specialized equipment. Second, LAINIC's staff should fully utilize their expertise in respective fields, actively stimulate the enthusiasm for entrepreneurship and innovation, and contribute more intelligence and valuable ideas to the incubation projects of LAINIC in various application areas.

Wang Yu, Executive Director of PKU-IICSH, stated that PKU-IICSH will provide comprehensive support and continuous empowerment throughout the entire lifecycle for the first batch of incubation projects in LAINIC, in terms of talents, policies, funds, spatial carriers, innovation ecology and more. He hopes that this seminar will serve as an opportunity to network and gather more people of insight and are passionate about the "low-altitude economy" industry. Leveraging the unique institutional and locational advantages here, they aim to jointly explore replicable Lingang experiences for the country's development in the "low-altitude economy."
