Recently, Peking University Shanghai Lin-gang International Science and Technology Innovation Center (hereinafter referred to as "PKU-IICSH" or "the Center") has been officially approved as a service institution for the Shanghai Science and Technology Innovation Voucher.
In accordance with the Shanghai Science and Technology Innovation Voucher Management Measures(《上海市科技创新券管理办法》), the Center has fully committed to sharing scientific and technological innovation resources by establishing the "PWA Instrumentation & Service Center for Biomedicine" (hereinafter referred to as the "PWA Experimental Platform"). This initiative aims to fill the gap of public biomedical experimental platforms in the central area of the Lin-gang Special Area, actively integrate into the city's innovation industry chain, and has been officially included in the directory of service institutions for Shanghai Science and Technology Innovation Voucher.
In the future, small and medium-sized biomedical enterprises, innovation and entrepreneurship teams, and various scientific research teams from universities in Shanghai will be able to apply for the Shanghai Science and Technology Innovation Voucher when using the instruments and professional services of the PWA Experimental Platform of PKU-IICSH. This will allow them to receive financial subsidies from the municipal government, thereby reducing the cost of using these instruments and enhancing entrepreneurial motivation.

PWA Instrumentation & Service Center for Biomedicine
The "PWA Instrumentation & Service Center for Biomedicine" is the first multifunctional public biomedical experimental platform in the central area of Lin-gang, created by PKU-IICSH. It integrates the brands and resources of Peking University, the World Laureates Association (WLA) Shanghai Center, and the ATLATL Center for Innovation & Research (ATLATL). This platform aims to provide comprehensive public services for the development of the biomedical industry in Lin-gang Special Area, support deep incubation services and early-stage equity investment, benchmark against international advanced standards, and build a comprehensive service platform for the rapid and high-quality development of biomedical innovation teams or enterprises in the Yangtze River Delta region.
The experimental platform covers an area of 1,600 square meters, equipped with fully functional laboratory spaces and professional experimental equipment worth over tens of millions of yuan. It has also established a professional operation and management team, striving to create a first-class scientific and technological innovation service platform. Additionally, PKU-IICSH has been selected as a member of the Shanghai Youth Innovation Laboratory (municipal level) list, providing services such as science popularization education, student innovation experiment internship projects, and science and technology-themed study tours for young people.
