On May 9, 2024, the unveiling ceremony of the "Peking University-Galaxy General Embodied AI Joint Laboratory" was successfully held at Beijing Galaxy Universal Robot Co., Ltd. Main Representatives including Yao Weihao, Director of Peking University Office of Science and Technology Development and founder of Yanyuan Fund; Zheng Ruqing, Deputy Director of Peking University Office of Science and Technology Development; Hu Zhenjiang, Dean of Peking University's School of Computer Science; Cheng Wanhui, Director of the Third Industry Promotion Department of the Administrative Committee of Zhongguancun Science City (ACZSC); Chen Lei, Deputy Director of Fourth Industry Promotion Department of ACZSC; Wang Zhongyuan, Director of the Beijing Academy of Artificial Intelligence; Li Mengze from the Technology Transfer Center of Peking University Office of Science and Technology Development; Du Peng, Managing Director of Yanyuan Fund; Wang He, Director of the Joint Laboratory; and Yao Tengzhou, Legal Representative and Co-founder of Galaxy Universal attended the ceremony.

The unveiling ceremony was hosted by Wang He, Director of the Joint Laboratory. Leaders from Peking University Office of Science and Technology Development, Peking University's School of Computer Science, Administrative Committee of Zhongguancun Science City, Beijing Academy of Artificial Intelligence, Yanyuan Fund, and Galaxy Universal delivered speeches, congratulating the establishment of the joint laboratory.

The Peking University-Galaxy Universal Embodied AI Joint Laboratory, co-founded by Wang He's team from Peking University's Center on Frontiers of Computing Sutides and Galaxy Universal, represents an important milestone in deepening industry-university-research cooperation in embodied AI. In the future, both parties will engage in more collaboration in frontier theory and key technology research, sci-tech achievements transformation empowerment, talent exchange, and industrial implementation. This will continuously push embodied AI technology from the laboratory to industrial application, helping China seize the high ground in developing new quality productive forces and leading the new wave of general artificial intelligence technology.
