On the afternoon of July 10, 2024, Yao Weihao, Head of the Office of Science and Technology Development at Peking University and Director of Peking University Lin-gang International S&T Innovation Center (PKU-IICSH), led a delegation of PKU-IICSH personnel to visit PetroChina Shanghai New Materials Research Institute. Wang Yu, Executive Director of PKU-IICSH, and Zhang Weiwei, Deputy Director of PKU-IICSH, participated in the visit, along with experts and directors from the Department of Science and Technology Development, Public Relations Department, and the affiliated New Structural Materials Technology R&D Center.
Wu Liping, Executive Director and President of PetroChina Shanghai New Materials Research Institute, Vice President Guo Hongli, Chief Scientist Tao Ruoyuan, and other directors warmly welcomed the PKU-IICSH delegation, who visited some ongoing projects and experimental instruments at the institute. During the discussion, both sides introduced their development and construction in Lin-gang Special Area. The in-depth discussion and enthusiastic exchanges focused on organized scientific research, the transformation of sci-tech achievements, the cultivation of high-tech enterprises, talent exchange and employment, financial investment in the sci-tech industry, international cooperation, and the joint construction of the industry ecosystem.
Both parties expressed their intent to take it as an opportunity to further focus on several key domains and actively promote practical cooperation to achieve a win-win result, and therefore jointly foster New Quality Productive Forces in Lin-gang Special Area.
