On the afternoon of September 8th, 2024, the fourth session of the first Council and the fifth session of the first Supervisory Board of Peking University Lin-gang International S&T Innovation Center (PKU-IICSH) were successfully held. The directors of PKU-IICSH attended the council meeting, while the supervisors and theleadingteamwere present as well. The meeting also invited leaders from relevant superior guiding units, including the Division of High-tech Industries and Science and Technology Innovation, LSAA, and the management office of Off-site Research Institutions of the Office of Science and Technology Development, Peking University, to attend and provide guidance.

The Council meeting was hosted by Chairman Xiao Yuan. The welcome speech was delivered by Yao Weihao, the Director of PKU-IICSH. Wang Yu, the Executive Director of PKU-IICSH reported to the Council on the latest progress of PKU-IICSH and the preparation for the upcoming3A-Level Assessment for Social Service Agency in Shanghai. Subsequently, the Council reviewed and approved 12 policies, including the "Operational Management Measures of the Center," and 10 work reports, including the "Annual Debriefing Report 2023 of the Center's Administrator," providing a clear direction on major issues such as PKU-IICSH's system construction and business development planning.


During the meeting, the directors, supervisors, and leaders from guiding units fully affirmed PKU-IICSH's development and the impressive achievements made in a short time. They also offered guidance on the future business development of PKU-IICSH.


After the Council meeting, the fifth session of the Supervisory Board was held, where four topics, including the "Annual Report 2023 of the Supervisory Board," were reviewed and approved. The meeting was chaired by the Chairman of the Supervisory Board, Hu Yingxin.

This series of meetings conducted a comprehensive review of PKU-IICSH’s work since it was established more than two years ago and provided guidance for the preparation for the upcoming assessment for the Social Service Agency in Shanghai. The meeting emphasized the need for PKU-IICSH to adopt an open-minded and innovative approach, work with diligence, and strive to build itself into a "landmark project of municipality-university cooperation." The leadership and all employees of PKU-IICSH were encouraged to continue their efforts, stay true to their mission, seize development opportunities, achieve new successes in sci-tech achievements transformation and high-tech enterprises incubation, and establish a new benchmark as a social service organization (private non-enterprise unit) in technological innovation services while supporting the development of Lin-gang Special Area.
