From September 24 to 28, the 24th China International Industry Fair (CIIF) 2024 kicked off at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai). Peking University was invited as one of the exhibitors in the University & College Exhibition Area. Twelve projects recommended by Peking University Lin-gang International S&T Innovation Center (PKU-IICSH) took part in the exhibition, which respectively are Low-Altitude Intelligent Networks General Technology R&D Project, Integrated Photonics Chip Project, LLM Safety Alignment R&D Project, New Structural Materials Technology R&D Project, Immunological Detection with Nanofluidics Chip, Molecular Beam Epitaxy & Its Industrialization, Spatiotemporal Big Data Application Research Project, Miniaturized Chip Scale Atomic Clock R&D Project, The Development of Industrialization of MicroED, and Intelligent Autonomous Inspection Robot/AI Computing Video Processing Platform.
Among the twelve projects, the Data Cross-Border Circulation Technology R&D Project, Immunological Detection with Nanofluidics Chip, and AV53 Intelligent Computing Chip Development Project participated in the roadshow. The Miniaturized Chip Scale Atomic Clock R&D Project won the Innovation Gold Award of the University & College Exhibition Area, CIIF while the Immunological Detection with Nanofluidics Chip and Integrated Photonics Chip Project won the Innovation Award. PKU-IICSH received the Outstanding Organization Award of the University & College Exhibition Area, and Zhang Weiwei, PKU-IICSH’s Deputy Director, was awarded the Advanced Individual Award.
Al-Farabi Kazakh National University participated in CIIF is one of the international exhibitors in the University & College Exhibition Area. On the afternoon of Sept. 25, at the request of the Center of Science and Technology Development for Shanghai Universities, Prof. Olzhas Turar, Dean of the Faculty of Information Technology at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, and four other faculties visited PKU-IICSH to exchange ideas. They visited PKU-IICSH, in particular the Party-Mass Service Center, PWA Instrumentation & Service Center for Biomedicine, and the project incubation zone. The delegation was warmly welcomed by representatives from technology development and international affairs of PKU-IICSH.
China International Industry Fair is the longest-running national-level industrial event in China. Since its launch in 1999, CIIF has held over 20 sessions successfully, adhering to the principles of professionalism, market orientation, internationalization, and branding. It aligns with national strategies and is dedicated to developing real economy, making it a significant communication bridge for showcasing China's industrial sector, as well as a crucial platform for trade and cooperation.
As a communication bridge for showcasing domestic and international cutting-edge products and promoting economic and technological exchange and cooperation, CIIF is a platform for integrating Industry-University-Research. PKU-IICSH actively participated in the university & college exhibition and roadshow activities, contributing Peking University's wisdom to enhancing the technological innovation capacity and comprehensive scientific strength of universities.
