In December last year, at the Second Meeting of the 10th Council of the Peking University Alumni Association and the 14th Alumni Work Seminar, Gong Qihuang, President of Peking University and Chairman of the Peking University Alumni Association, put forward three expectations to all council members: to be navigators of alumni work, contributors to the development of the alma mater, and the main force in promoting Chinese-style modernization. The joint presentation of this year's "Peking University Global Finance Forum" and "Nanyang Peking University Alumni" activity is an important practice of the active coordination among the Alumni Office of Peking University, the Department of Science and Technology Development, and the council representatives of alumni platforms at home and abroad to thoroughly implement President Gong Qihuang's "three expectations". The construction of the "Yanyuan Sci-Tech Innovation Ecosystem", launched by the Department of Science and Technology Development and the Alumni Association of Peking University in the 2025 Peking University Science and Technology Innovation Year, has also laid an important overseas foundation through this activity.
With the successful holding of this forum, "Peking University financial alumni" have fully demonstrated a good spiritual outlook of seeking truth and pragmatism, striving for excellence on the international stage. As an important platform for communication and cooperation among global "Peking University financial alumni", the forum has become more mature, making a good start for the development of the Peking University Financial Alumni Federation in its second decade. On the other hand, under the guidance of Peking University and the Peking University Alumni Association, local and industry-specific alumni work platforms are continuously deepening their integration with the core businesses of the university in various ways. The alumni work has also developed a new model in actively practicing the purpose of "serving alumni, serving the alma mater, and serving the society".
