On the morning of August 21, 2025, Peking University International Sci-Tech Innovation Center at Lin-gang Special Area, China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone (PKU-IICSH) visited Bayer Co.Lab, the open innovation hub of global pharmaceutical giant Bayer in China.

Yao Weihao, Director of Office of Science and Technology Development, Peking University and Director of PKU-IICSH, introduced the latest progress of Peking University’s technology transfer efforts, as well as the collaborative development of the sci-tech innovation ecosystem by the Center, INNO-YES Incubator and Yanyuan Fund. He also conducted in-depth exchanges on industry-university-research collaboration and enterprise incubation in the biomedical field. Huang Danjie, Vice President of Bayer’s Prescription Pharmaceuticals Division and Head of the China Cooperative Innovation Center, presented Bayer Co.Lab’s strategic layout and latest development, and elaborated on its focus areas, admission criteria for incubation, and incubation models. Both parties stated that they will consolidate the sound foundation of previous university-enterprise cooperation, leverage Peking University’s superior medical resources and Bayer’s global innovation network, and further strengthen collaboration in multiple areas including joint R&D in the biomedical field, enterprise incubation, sci-tech innovation competitions, and industry forums.

This on-site visit and seminar will further enrich the substance of university-enterprise cooperation, and make fresh contributions to advancing the integrated development of technological innovation and industrial
